The blue sister of the Speed 25: seven main bearings, hushed running and a racy stance.
The story
Alvis Speed 25 Bleue
Regarded as one of the best cars of the 1930s, the “Speed 25” is an evolution of the Alvis Speed 20, built in Coventry until 1940.
This 1938 example has a 3,571 cc straight-six with aluminium pistons and three SU carburettors, delivering 106 hp at 3,800 rpm. Its seven-bearing crankshaft gives quieter running and reduced vibration; the car reaches 156 km/h, with a fully synchronised four-speed manual gearbox.
A deep blue livery that underlines its racy lines — the elegance of the great pre-war British tourers.
