Rolls-Royce’s entry into the modern era, in convertible form — to hire with or without a driver.
The story
Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow
Launched in 1965, the Silver Shadow brought Rolls-Royce into the modern era: monocoque body, power-assisted disc brakes and self-levelling hydropneumatic suspension under Citroën licence, for unprecedented ride comfort.
The rare convertible — Drophead Coupé bodied by Mulliner Park Ward — embodies open-top English luxury: taut lines, a tailored hood and a cabin of leather and burr walnut.
Powered by a smooth, silent 6.75-litre V8, this white Silver Shadow suits a wedding arrival as well as a summer drive along Lake Geneva — with or without a driver.
